Biography

Scare Bears – perverted pop culture for the sick and singular pleasure of the band members or a group of trend oriented pseudo-punks adopting adorable animal names to stun and awe their fifteen year old following? Nintendo generation rebels or just another boy band? No question more pertinent has confronted the world of men since that chicken/egg conundrum.

Formed initially in 2003 the Scare Bears quickly became well versed in the local scene having played at various halls and events around CT. During that time the music and stage presence evolved into what it now is today. Now assembled as a seven member outfit, the Scare Bears the following line-up:

The Cracker Kat – Vox
The Monkey God – Vox
Robo Bunny – Guitar
Typical Panda – Guitar
The Wolf – Bass
Donkey Punch – Drums

Their amusing stage antics, catchy riffs, and lyrics born of a peculiar world view have enabled them to reach fans of varied musical interests. The subjects of their songs universally understood and the sense of humor behind it refreshingly pointed.

The Scare Bears band have been support acts for such national acts as The Misfits, Mindless Self Indulgence, Dope, Psycho Stick, Celldweller, Steve-O, KottonMouth Kings and Wolfpac.

In the late spring of this year, Scare Bears introduced three new members to their outfit, Donkey Punch, Robo Bunny, & Typical Panda; further spreading the phenomenon that is the Scare Bears. While they enjoy the stage and take pains to ensure that each show is entertaining and original they still manage to keep a professional and open attitude when working with other bands and venues.
